How it works

Four steps from estimate to switch-on

You deal with one licensed solar contractor from start to finish.

  1. Start with an instant estimate

Enter your panel count, roof material and home height to see a planning range.

  2. Get a written quote

We review your system, roof and any permit or equipment requirements, then confirm the price in writing.

  3. Removal, timed with your roofer

We disconnect safely, remove and label every panel, and store the equipment while the roof goes on.

  4. Reinstall and recommission

New flashed mounts, panels back up, system tested, inspected and producing again.

Why licensing matters

Removal and reinstall is solar work, not roofing work

Taking panels down means disconnecting a live electrical system, removing roof mounts and later recommissioning the whole array. If it's done badly, you can end up with leaks, damaged equipment or a system that never produces properly again. Before anyone touches your panels, ask which contractor license covers the solar work. Ours does, and our name stays on the job.

Reviews

What roofers tell us

I bring Harborlight in on every roof with solar. They show up when they say, the panels are off before my crew arrives, and I've never had a callback on their mounts.
